Since 1997, a ceremony that highlights volunteer work and public benefit, and honours those who make it happen.

What Is It?

Held since 1997, the Unrequited Service Awards aim to make visible projects that deliver public benefit, are volunteer-driven and inspiring, and to honour the individuals and institutions behind them.

Applications are evaluated with care; the awards are presented each year at the end of October at a ceremony with expert guests. At the same event, the Lifetime Volunteering Awards and Izmir Volunteers Awards presented by the Izmir Provincial Directorate for Civil Society Relations are also given.

Information & Application

Since 1997, the Tülay Aktaş Volunteer Organizations Solidarity Unrequited Service Awards have honored projects that create value for society and the volunteers behind them. Applications for 2026 are now open. NGOs, public institutions, local administrations, private-sector representatives and volunteers from the Aegean Region may apply. The deadline is October 5, 2026.
